Service, Leadership, and Impact

Sergeant Jason Rothermund Ret. serves as Advisory Board Chair and Chief Advocacy and Government Affairs Officer of Shepherd’s Watch Foundation, bringing nearly two decades of distinguished law enforcement experience and leadership. During his career with the Lexington Police Department, he rose through the ranks to become Canine Unit Commander within the Bureau of Special Operations. A highly decorated officer, he earned the Medal of Merit, multiple commendations, and the Kentucky Fire Commission Heroism Award for his service.

As a two term President of the Fraternal Order of Police Bluegrass Lodge 4, Sergeant Rothermund led complex contract negotiations and championed key legislative reforms that strengthened protections and benefits for law enforcement officers across Kentucky.

Today, he is the Founder and CEO of 14BRAVO, a technology company providing innovative business solutions and payment processing services that give back to law enforcement, veterans, and working canines. In his role with Shepherd’s Watch Foundation, he leads advocacy initiatives, builds relationships with policymakers and national partners, and advances strategies that strengthen public safety, officer wellness, and community trust.
