Isaiah Washington is an NAACP Image and SAG award-winning actor, producer, activist, and author with nearly three decades in film, television, and stage. A veteran of several Spike Lee films, he has starred alongside icons such as Clint Eastwood, Halle Berry, and George Clooney, earning acclaim as a powerful and versatile talent.

Washington received widespread praise for his portrayal of DC sniper John Allen Muhammad in Blue Caprice and for producing and starring in Blackbird with Oscar® winner Mo’Nique. His award-winning documentary Bound: Africans versus African Americans premiered at the 2014 Seattle Film Festival.

A Texas native, Washington is best known for his roles as Dr. Preston Burke on Grey’s Anatomy, Chancellor Thelonious Jaha on The 100, and Mayor Tydell Marcellus Ruffin, Sr. on STARZ’s P-Valley. He made his directorial debut with Corsicana, portraying legendary lawman Bass Reeves—a film he also co-wrote and produced.
